Win the services of Drewton’s Farm Shop’s highly skilled chefs for an evening!

Would you like two talented, professional chefs to turn up on your doorstep and cook dinner for you?

Drewton’s Farm Shop is offering one lucky customer the services of Head Chef Adam Banks and Sous Chef Kris Whitehand for one evening only. The pair have generously agreed to donate their time as part of the farm shop’s efforts to raise funds for the East Riding Theatre in Beverley.

By buying a raffle ticket for just £5, you could be in with a chance of having the dinner of your choice cooked for you and your guests in the comfort of your own home.

Proprietor of Drewton’s Farm Shop, Katie Taylor, explained: “We wholeheartedly support efforts to create a theatre in Beverley for the people of the East Riding and can’t wait until it opens its doors in the autumn. Volunteers and supporters have already raised a huge amount of money and we wanted to do our bit to help.

“Adam and Kris kindly volunteered their services, and we’re really grateful to them for allowing us to offer this totally unique raffle prize. Once a winner has been chosen, we will liaise with them to arrange for Adam and Kris to go to their home one evening and cook the meal of their choice. All the winner has to do is provide the ingredients; our chefs will do the rest!”

Adam has a wealth of experience and oversees the tempting menus on offer at Drewton’s Farm Shop, whilst Kris is an up-and-coming young chef who was recently named as one of two finalists in the Hull and East Yorkshire Copper Saucepan competition for apprentice chefs.

The raffle will be drawn at a family picnic that Drewton’s Farm Shop is hosting on Yorkshire Day - Friday 1 August - to raise funds for the East Riding Theatre.

The fun begins at 2pm and tickets, priced at £15 for adults and £10 for children, must be booked in advance. As well as a delicious buffet of picnic food and drink made with the finest local ingredients, there will be entertainment from theatre performers between 2pm and 4pm. From 4pm until 7pm, children’s entertainer Nutty Norman will amuse guests with magic, stilt-walking, balloon-making and more. There will also be a raffle with wonderful prizes, including tickets to see the Christmas production at the East Riding Theatre and a Drewton’s Farm Shop hamper.
