Tickets on sale for charity fundraising Harvest Festival Concert at Beverley Minster

Published: 27/08/2014

Drewton’s Farm Shop has announced plans to stage its second annual Harvest Festival Concert at Beverley Minster to raise funds for a number of local good causes.

This year’s event will take place on Friday 10 October and feature a wide variety of musical entertainment, including performances by renowned Howden-based Tenor Steven Goulden, Longcroft School’s fabulous Gospel Choir, The Salvation Army Band, performers from the East Riding Theatre and Pocklington School’s Music Theatre Society.

The proceeds will be shared between a number of charities, including Beverley Minster, The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, The Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Unit at Castle Hill Hospital and East Riding Theatre.

As well as a delicious cheese and wine supper supplied by Drewton’s Farm Shop, there will be a ‘Tree of Life’ raffle with the chance to win some amazing prizes.

Tickets, priced at £15 for adults and £10 for ten to 16 year olds, are on sale now from Drewton’s Farm Shop near South Cave or the East Riding Theatre in Beverley.

Katie Taylor, proprietor of Drewton’s Farm Shop, said: “We held our first Harvest Festival Concert at Beverley Minster last year and it was a wonderful evening with some truly awe-inspiring performances. We’re delighted to welcome many of the performers back again this year, but have also added some exciting new acts to the programme for the evening.

“Last year we raised a significant sum for our chosen charities and hope to do the same again this year. Please come along for a fantastic evening of entertainment, food and wine to help us raise money for some really worthwhile causes.”

If anyone would like to donate gifts of food (with a longer shelf life) on the evening, they will be distributed locally by the Salvation Army, in partnership with Churches Together and the Holderness and Wold Food Bank of Driffield.
