Rotary Club to help run special Christmas postal service from Drewton’s Farm Shop

Published: 17/11/2015

The Rotary Club of South Cave and Wolds has kindly agreed to work with Drewton’s Farm Shop to help deliver children’s letters to Father Christmas this December.

Father Christmas and his real reindeer will once again be visiting Drewton’s on the weekend of 12 and 13 December, but, in a new development, there will also be a special Post Box at the farm shop, where children can drop off their letters to Father Christmas from 1 December.

Anyone posting a letter is asked to include as much information as possible, including the child’s name, age, postal address and an indication of whether or not they’ve booked to see Father Christmas at Drewton’s Farm Shop. The Rotary Club will then collect the letters and ensure that they all reach Father Christmas safely. To thank the local Rotary Club for its help in organising this special postal service, Drewton’s Farm Shop is holding a raffle to support the work of the club’s chosen charities.

Katie Taylor, proprietor of Drewton’s Farm Shop, said: “We’re really grateful to the Rotary Club of South Cave and Wolds for enabling us to offer this very special postal service to local children wanting to send their letters to Father Christmas. We do hope that parents will bring their children along to make use of our post box from December 1 onwards. Who knows? They may even get a reply from Father Christmas himself!”
