Le Fête du Tour-themed dinner to be held at Drewton’s Farm Shop

Published: 13/05/2014

On Wednesday 4 June, Drewton’s Farm Shop will be the venue for an evening of great food and entertainment in celebration of the Grand Départ coming to Yorkshire.

Guests will be served a Le Fête du Tour-themed menu and will also get the chance to hear Gary Verity, chief executive of regional tourism body Welcome To Yorkshire, speak about this exciting event.

The menu will be created using ingredients supplied by food and drink producers who are members of Welcome to Yorkshire and based along the route of the Grand Départ in Yorkshire, and the fun dress code for the evening is ‘black tie and cycling shorts’! The event has been organised to help bring the Le Tour Yorkshire festivities to East Yorkshire and takes place in the run-up to the cycle race, which starts in July.

Drewton’s proprietor Katie Taylor said: “There’s a 100-day Arts Festival in the lead-up to the race, so we decided to be creative and provide an opportunity for people here in East Yorkshire to get involved in the celebrations.”
