2012 Yorkshire Wildlife Safari event announced

Published: 16/03/2012

Following on from the success of our Yorkshire Wildlife Safari last summer, we've been working with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to organise a similar event on Sunday 10 June.

The day will begin with a hearty breakfast at the Farm Shop and a wildlife talk about the Red Kites here on the Drewton Estate. We'll then head out to Wansford Bridge near Driffield to try to spot otters and water voles, before visiting the UK's biggest mainland seabird colony at Bempton Cliffs on the East coast. There we'll enjoy a delicious Drewton's picnic lunch in the sunshine before taking a boat trip that will offer spectacular views of the cliffs, sea caves and sea birds. We'll round off the afternoon with a Cliff-top walk at Flamborough, where there will be a chance to spot seabirds, including the popular Puffin, as well as butterflies and wild flowers. Breakfast, lunch, boat trip and transport is included in the price, which is £45 per person or £35 for children under 12 years of age.
